ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Talk length:
- Long papers will be given a 20 minute slot (15 minutes for the talk, 4 minutes for questions and 1 minute for speaker setup)
- Short papers will be given a 13 minute slot (10 minutes for the talk and 2 minutes for questions and 1 minute for speaker setup).

Computers and audio-visual equipment for the Main Conference:
Please bring your presentation (16:9) on a USB stick at the Slide Center, located in the Spadolini Pavilion, ground floor, close to the Registrations Desk, at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.
The Slide Center will be open from July 28th (from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm) in order to upload presentations for the Main Conference in advance.
Presenting from the conference PC is the default (and the strongly preferred) option. In case of real problems, you may present from your own laptop, but please bring along any adapters needed to connect to HDMI if you need to use this option.

Computers and audio-visual equipment for Tutorials & Workshops:
Please give your presentation (16:9) on a USB stick directly to the technician inside the hall.
Each room will have a PC (Windows, powerpoint and adobe reader) and a video projector. Presenting from the conference PC is the default (and the strongly preferred) option. In case of real problems, you may present from your own laptop, but please bring along any adapters needed to connect to HDMI if you need to use this option.

Set-up and preparation:
Please be sure to arrive at your session during the preceding break (at least 15 minutes before the start of the session) and introduce yourself to the session chair and to the volunteers who will help to set you up. Make sure to briefly check that fonts, pictures, audio, and/or video display as you intend them to. In order to speed transitions, please set up your presentation file (or connect your computer) while the previous speaker is finishing answering questions, so that your presentation is ready to start on time.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Poster size:
Posters should be no wider than 91 cm (36 in) and no higher than 122 cm (48 in), in vertical/portrait orientation. A0 paper (in vertical/portrait orientation) meets these requirements.

Poster printing option:
If you cannot print your poster before travelling, there will be an A3 printer at the conference registration desk which can be used. If you need to use this option, please contact the Info Point desk early to make sure there is time to print the posters before your session. Larger sizes (e.g. A0) can be printed in photo shops in Florence (note that shops will be closed on Sunday). The registration desk will provide information about the shops closest to the conference venue.

Set-up and preparation:
Please arrive during the preceding break (at least 20 minutes before the start of the session) to find your poster's location and to mount your poster using the tape provided. Poster locations will be listed in a guide distributed to all participants, and volunteers will be available to assist you if needed.

Cleanup:
Please remove your poster right after the poster session ends; do not leave your poster in the room, as the space will be needed for posters in the next session.
